Vsevolod Maevsky
Vsevolod Maevsky, born in Kyiv, Ukraine, began his dance training at the age of five. He graduated from the Kyiv State Choreographic School in 2016, under the tutelage of V.V. Pryanichnikov.
His exceptional talent has been recognized with numerous international awards, including the Gold Medal at the Grand Prix Kyiv (2016) and the Gold Medal at the Youth America Grand Prix in New York (2018). From 2016 to 2018, he further refined his skills at Ellison Ballet in New York.
In 2018, Maevsky joined the prestigious Mariinsky Theatre, where he performed leading roles such as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Torero in Carmen Suite, Ivan Tsarevich in The Firebird, Conrad in Le Corsaire, and Diamonds in Balanchine’s Jewels.
He has also appeared as a guest artist in renowned ballet events, including Les Étoiles and Giselle with Cipriani Entertainment (Italy), the Youth America Grand Prix galas in Orlando and Genoa, the "Stars of White Nights" gala at the Mariinsky Theatre, and the Origen Festival in Switzerland.
In May 2022, Maevsky joined the Semperoper Ballet in Dresden for the 2022-2023 season. He is currently a member of the English National Ballet, where he made his London Coliseum debut in January 2024 as Albrecht in Mary Skeaping’s Giselle, partnered by Emma Hawes.
His extensive repertoire includes works by renowned choreographers such as Alexei Ratmansky (The Little Humpbacked Horse, Cinderella, Concerto DSCH, The Flames of Paris), Alberto Alonso (Carmen Suite), Wayne McGregor (Infra), Marius Petipa (La Bayadère, Le Corsaire, Paquita, Raymonda, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Talisman, Le Carnaval de Venise), August Bournonville (La Sylphide), Frederick Ashton (Sylvia), George Balanchine (Symphony in C, Jewels), Michel Fokine (The Firebird), Rostislav Zakharov (The Fountain of Bakhchisarai), Jules Perrot (Esmeralda), and Vasily Vainonen (The Nutcracker).
